"Inspired by You" is exactly that: It's a place for me to share some of my favorite Bella finds with you and give credit to those people that are inspiring me along the way! Without designers, crafters, scrapbookers and creative people like you I wouldn't be inspired to continue designing new prints, patterns & products. I want you to know how much you inspire me.
Part of my job is to stay inspired. Easier said than done (as most of you know). That's why several hours each month I spend scouring magazines and the internet to see how you are using my designs, the Bella Blvd product collections.
"Inspired by You" blog posts will reveal some of my favorite online & print discoveries using specifically Bella Blvd products.
Some days I'll share work from everywhere and all over, and other days I might focus on one specific inspiring person....today, I'd like to tell you that I'm very inspired by
I've had Shannon's Blog, Scrap Shop & Mommy Talk, on my blog roll for at least 3 years now. I'm amazed at how eclectic Shannon's scrapbooking style is. She's been a Two Peas Garden Girl for as long as I can remember, and as far as I'm concerned has been a face in scrapbooking ever since. I find myself often inspired by so many different elements of Shannon's style. For example, in her layout above (which features a patterns from Bella's Making the Team collection), Shannon uses her own handwriting--which you'll see often in her style---and mixes it with great typography using Thickers and other mediums of alphabets.
In this layout you'll spot the "f-a-m-i-l-y" chipboard elements from Bella's Sophisticates products, again used in a non-traditional typographic way. Again, her own handwriting and the mixing and matching of different products, creating her own color palettes instead of using all the same patterns & embellishments within one company's product collection.
Shannon's page titles are often inspired by current media, events, songs, tv shows and more. I love that because it ties a "time" to a layout and triggers other memories as well! On the layout above I LOVE how Shannon uses several of Bella Blvd's Designer Tapes to create her own patterns, & then circle punched them. And a Designer like myself surely can't miss one of Bella's Stick Pin Flags right above the photograph. (Again, you'll spot her handwriting.)
I honestly could show you so much more of Shannon's work, but instead I'll share some links with you instead:
Shannon has all her Two Peas Scrapbooking Layouts in one gallery. It's a great place for inspiration...be sure to check it out! Her blog is a great place to see more creativity including home decor, her adorable kiddos and her current favorites.
Thank you Shannon for allowing me to share your images and your work today. I know my readers will love your style just as much as I do. And, of course, thank you for using Bella Blvd and picking my products out of your stash to add to your work more often than not.
Thank you, Shannon, for inspiring me!
