I must admit it's bittersweet coming home from a place like the Green Valley Ranch Resort & Spa. Packing bags and squeezing things between clothes isn't my favorite thing, but it's all worth it when an event is as successful as Inspiration Unlimited 2012. Jenna and I traveled to Henderson, Nevada with all these suitcases! It was quite the show at the airport, trying to wheel around more bags than we had extremities.
This was my third year being a part of IU, but the most important seeing that I was a main teacher alongside this super talented designers
(Vicki, Debbie, Teresa & Kristin). Their workshops were so inspiring, as always I wish I could have been sitting at the table creating the projects like everyone else :)
Meet & Greet night was great. I was able to display some of my favorite personal mini albums + Bella's beautiful fabric lines and of course, the Class Project that I would be teaching.
We gave away some buttons and Designer Tapes to the gals that stopped by the table to say hi.
It was wonderful to see my dear friend Nilmarie from The Scrapbook Gallery in Puerto Rico. She traveled all the way to Inspiration Unlimited to take the workshops and spend the weekend together. Isn't she beautiful?
And to my surprise this lovely woman, Joan, remembered me from last year. She remembered my favorite color was pink and that I was from Wisconsin and surprised me with this HANDMADE scarf. I could have cried it was so thoughtful and sweet; That's exactly was IU is all about! Thank you Joan! (PS-I lost your email so send me another one and I'll share the full-size photo with you!)
Here's one of the two ladies that make the whole thing happen, Miss Ginger Nelson. What a personality! I love observing her keeping everything under control, organized and on time; it inspires me to be even better at time management--she's amazing!
Familiar faces and laughter continued the whole weekend.
Jenna did an amazing prepping all the IU kits and helping me transition from workshop to workshop. WE had a great time and even enjoyed some fabulous heaping cups of frozen yogurt almost every night as our delicious and well-worth-it reward :)
There additional IU photos & recapping over at the Bella Blog today-be sure to stop by for more. I got a bit emotional during my classes so I want to say a big thank you and give hugs (virtually) to everyone for listenging and caring. You touched me with your personal stories that you continued to share with me after class. This album will be a great means of preserving memories of both those alive and gone that have made a big difference in who you are.
The closing ceremonies were fun and bittersweet. It's hard to say goodbye to such a wonderful year of planning and hard work. Hopefully I'll be back next year ;)
Thank you Teresa for letting me be a part of this awesome event. You continue to be an inspiration to me; You're a great business woman, mom, teacher and so much more!
