The wedding is officially less than 7 months away (that is if you are counting May which I'm not really sure is fair). I've been having so much fun shopping with my girls, finding the right dresses to make my vision come true. Naturally I have decided to the non-traditional way with my bridesmaids: Mismatched Maids. What does this mean? Well, it means each girl will be wearing their own dress, different from the others. Different in style, texture, and even color.
Unlike the usual bridesmaid gathering at a local shop, getting measured and ordering dresses, the fun part about what I have planned is that I have the opportunity to individually (or 2 at a time) shop with each girl, enjoy the process, try on & purchase dresses. It's a little bit of happiness all over again each time we find another dress and at the the line of girls. I have to shop with them in the same order they will stand at the altar in order to avoid similar colors & textures falling next to each other in line. kwim?

I'm discovering my love for textures, textures, textures and have been having so much fun hanging out with my girls enjoying girl-time and anticipation of it all. The photos above are some I've snapped during some shopping excursions---which by the way can take place anywhere (not just a bridal shop), but the mall, outlets, boutiques and maybe even Marshalls! You never know what you'll find and where!! I'm not going to tell you which of these photos is the real deal....because that wouldn't be fun at all :) You'll just have to enjoy the suspense!
I have 2 more Bridesmaids to get wrapped up before the middle of November---when I meet with my amazing florist again. Before then I'll be getting all the girls together for a group picture so that we can see the vision coming together and how everyone actually looks side-by-side!
That is such a great idea!!! I love it!!
